Library Blues

I understand there isn't enough money right now to pay for all the community services we have come to expect.  I know cuts need to be made to balance the budget.  What I don't understand is why my library branch needs to be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  Why couldn't it be open one weekend day?  Where will all the kids in the neighborhood go now?  Saturdays that place was hopping and now I fear for where those kids will spend their time.
